Looks like an early spring melt

For the past week, we've had a complete reversal of the weather, from what we were getting just a little over a week ago. Temperatures have been in well over zero degrees and what little snow we had is just about gone.

But, we're just about to begin the most unpredictable months of the year, February and March. You can never tell what the weather will be like this time of year. We're hoping for the milder weather to continue. Although a little bit more snow would be nice, just to have some moisture for the spring thaw. If we don't get a little bit more precipitation, we may be in for a very dry summer.

We'll just have to take it one day at a time and have faith that the Lord will provide all that we need.

Today, I took a walk down to the dugouts to see how our water reserves are doing. And, from what I can tell, they are in not too bad of shape. The levels are down from their peak, but that''s pretty standard for this time of year. We'll see what run off we get come springtime.
