It's that time a year again, when we celebrate our Lord's resurrection and ascension into Heaven and God's fulfilment of His promise to us for the chance of everlasting life. Janice and I would like to take a moment and wish you all a very blessed and joyous Easter weekend.
Things on the homestead have been relatively quiet. Most of the days are filled with the routine of life off-the grid on the Saskatchewan prairie. We've been patiently waiting for the return of spring, so we can get to work of tilling and seeding this season's garden. We've been quite fortunate with a very mild late-winter. Although the temperatures have dropped down to a more seasonal level these last two weeks, the snow has been gone for well over a month, now. So, the ground will be ready for tilling soon.
The chickens are doing well and egg production is back up to normal levels. We're now getting ready for the new chicks, we have on order from the hatchery, which we'll be adding to the flock this year. We also bought ourselves a small incubator, so we can try hatching out our own chicks this year.
I did pick up some building supplies, as I want to get a storage shed built, so we can empty out the RV. This past winter, we've been using it for cold storage. But, now we want to get it cleaned out and organized. Then, later this summer, we want to use the storage shed for goats.
All sorts of things will be kicking off around here very soon.
Blessings to you all!
3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you, 5 who by God's power are being guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.
